Several sources have indicated to me that there is a lot of potential for the South American cocoa industry. I would love to do an internship on applying the 'value chain approach' in an (emerging) cocoa market, preferably working with farmers and or farmer organisations and help them to develop a value chain. The internship will be 20 weeks between 5-Feb-2018 and 23-Jun-2018.
If you are open to this, could you tell me more about you company and long-term objectives?
As a 23 year old Dutch student, doing a study on International Development Management, with a major on Sustainable Value Chains, I am educated on the following topics:
-Agri-food chains
-Supply chain analysis
-Value chain approach
-(Food) quality management
Furthermore, I am fluent in Dutch and English, but my Spanish is adequate (A1 level, motivated to improve). Also, I am skilled with using computers and internet.
