La franja de precios que encarece la importación de maíz amarillo duro, azúcar refinada, leche en polvo y arroz pilado ya cumplió su ciclo.
Es un mecanismo perverso que no facilita una reconversión de nuestra agricultura y por lo general beneficia al intermediario y no al productor agropecuario. Por la leche se paga lo mismo en campo cuando se aplica la franja y cuando ésta no aplicaba.
En arroz hay que tender progresivamente a sustituirlo.
En azúcar tenemos exceso de protección a las azucareras y ni siquiera los obligamos a evitar la quema de caña.
En maiz. Hay que quitar la franja pero etiquetar como transgénico al pollo o cerdo alimentado con maiz importado OVM.
